Biography

Dr. Anand Prakash is a board-certified nephrologist and the founder of NephronLife Kidney Care in Dallas, TX. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to innovation, Dr. Prakash blends clinical excellence with the latest advancements in kidney care to deliver personalized, patient-centered treatment. His philosophy centers around early intervention, holistic health, and empowering patients to take charge of their kidney and cardiovascular well-being. Dr. Prakash’s journey from India to leading his own practice in Texas is marked by academic rigor, leadership in hospital settings, and a lifelong dedication to redefining kidney care through empathy, education, and technology.

Education

Dr. Prakash began his medical education in India, where he completed medical school before moving to the United States. He pursued a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he deepened his understanding of the critical role that nutrition plays in systemic and kidney health.

Training

Following his graduate studies, Dr. Prakash completed his Internal Medicine residency and served as a hospitalist and adjunct assistant professor at both the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He held leadership roles, including department chair and multiple hospital committee appointments. He later completed a fellowship in Nephrology at UAB, training under world-renowned nephrologists and gaining extensive experience in the management of complex kidney conditions. In 2021, Dr. Prakash relocated to Texas and launched NephronLife Kidney Care to offer unmatched, forward-thinking care to patients in the community.
