Education
Dr. Shaikh earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University. Her training emphasizes evidence-based practice and a holistic, patient-centered approach, with a focus on supporting long-term health, prevention, and overall well-being across diverse patient populations.
Training
Dr. Shaikh worked as a registered nurse at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano in medical-surgical, oncology, orthopedics, and telemetry. She then served as a post-surgical unit nurse at Legent Health (Plano) and North Central Surgical Center (Dallas). During her DNP training, she trained in the Neuro ICU at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital and the Emergency Department at Parkland Hospital, while simultaneously leading a tobacco cessation initiative at Nortex Spine and Joint. This diverse background supports her holistic, systems-based approach to patient care and long-term health outcomes.
